Bogota
The capital city is Bogota, the largest city in Colombia. Bogota is also one of the biggest cities in Latin America. Since 2000, Bogota has become more of a tourist attraction, due to the increase in safety laws. There has been a gigantic effort to change the crime rates in Bogota, especially because, in the nineteen nineties, it was considered one of the most violent cities in the world. Luckily, there has been success in changing the image of Bogota.
In 2007 Bogota was named the World Book Capital. There are 58 museums and at least 70 art galleries throughout the city. Also, Bogota has 45 theaters. There are many beautiful churches, and the primary beleif system is Christianity. There are only 4 synagogues in the city.
The city is relatively cool, with average temperatures is the mid sixties (Fahrenheit) all year long, and has many beautiful places to visit.
